Reforestation: A profitable solution to global warming

Tree Farms for Sale

We have been planting tropical hardwoods in the Sapoa area of SW Nicaragua since 2001. This land is close to the Costa Rican border and convenient to the trendy beach town of San Juan Del Sur. Our holdings are all within a few miles of the Pacific Ocean on reclaimed cattle farms located in beautiful rolling hills. This property is the natural home to several species of monkeys, iguana, and many and varied birds.

We have several parcels of established trees that we are offering to investors. These small farms all include fee simple title. Currently our small farm offerings vary from one hectare (2.47 acre) to 40 hectares (100 acres). Maderas Sostenibles will maintain the small farms via an annual maintenance contract. Maintenance cost $350- $700 per hectare per year, depending on the age of the trees. Typically, a tree farm will become self-sustaining after 10 years when the thinning begins to produce revenue. We have a sawmill in the area and can process, sell, and export any thinning or harvest.
